@Sarena Don't judge this series based on just its pilot episode; Dexter has changed drastically (season-wise) since it began. Some seasons are very personal, some spiritual, brutal, or just plain messed up.

It has its up-and-downs but its a damn good show and Dexter is one of the best characters on tv. -
Just started to watch Dexter and I must say I am in love with the series. My love is even stronger than my fear. Of like... all scary stuffz. I watch it. I love it. I cry myself to sleep cause I am so scared.

Now I see why "Dexter" was not really good when it first came out. It has changed a lot since this first Season to this 7th Season as to the image and to Dexter's personality. Hes much too joyful which ruined what he does. They have done good with this show as of now.

I have watched less than 15 minutes, and am already left with the impression that the only difference between the criminally insane and Dexter, is that he has a license to cut from the authorites. The cops ogling the dissected body of a female, making comments such as she had a nice ass, make me want to hurl! Their attitudes seem almost as equally repulsive as those of the deranged criminals they chase.
