what an ending!!! amazing season! I dont care what anybody says.. I want to see more about deb and dex! incest? they are not related, harry and dex mother just have an affair.. maybe deb is the only one who can handle the real dex... but I dont think the story line will go that way.. but I sure hope so. what a cliffhanger! what will deb do?? she saw dex for what he is.. can she handle that? just one word for the season finale: amazing!!!!

So excited they finally brought that bit of story line in from the books :) the books are so much darker though I recommend and fans of Dexter go read the series it's a great second perspective of the whole Dex universe

There absolutely is another season. In fact, Dexter has been renewed for seasons 7 and 8. Season 8 will be the final one, however.

This season was AMAZING. The ending was shocking and I now find myself anxious for the next season. I am pleased they have managed to keep such a strong plot line season after season particularly after the death of Rita. Can't wait till September (:

Oh. My. Gah. That ending was ridica-dunculous. Dexter easily is one of the best shows every created. It and Breaking Bad are two of my very favorites.

Anyway, wow, what to expect next season. I believe Dexter is going to come out and tell Deb that Travis abducted Harrison and was going to sacrifice him on top of the sky scraper and that's what pushed him over the edge and made him want to murder him. -
Saw that one coming from an episode ago... it will be interesting to see next season. Hope it doesn't turn into Prison Break where Dexter is always on the run :P

As far as endings go, this rank pretty high up. But as far as Deb's feelings for Dexter, well, that's just a little disturbing.
Oh, and Scott666, Dexter's biological father is not Harry. That was established much earlier in the series where he went back to dispose of the house his dad left him. Dexter's brother, Brian Moser, poisoned their father and made it look like a heart attack. -
