It's boring. Like no offence to the people who like the show, but this guy is not Sherlock. It's just too casual, too lucid. And what is up with John being a woman?! -.-

I really think Holmes is played well in this. But also played a bit differently. He's more of an Aspergers person with a drug addiction rather than an obnoxious sociopath. -

The same goes for Aidan Quinn.. though his dye job - wow! It's baaad. Like Al Gore, Gary Sinise bad.
Lucy Liu is frighteningly one-dimensional and dull in EVERY single line, emotive response and role.. glad to see she hasn't changed her M O.. !
I'd be surprised if this show makes it.
Miller and Quinn need better supporting actors and/ or actresses.
I watched a tad of the 2nd episode.. Quinn's characters underling, the other cop is the typical overacting, hotheaded, squeaky clean detective we've all seen on Law & Order and the dozens of other copycat lawyer/cop shows. -
Well I loved it. I have adored JLM since Eli Stone. He plays odd, eccentric, and strange very well. I agree, it is just like The Mentalist, but I love that show so oh well :-)

Oh dear. Just appalling. Dear actors, please watch Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman show you how it's done, and then go back to making American shows. Thank you. (Johnny, as you have been in America for so long that you apparently no longer understand Sherlock Holmes, you get the honorary title of American actor).

Likeable characters and good actors. The story arc was a little weak on the depth of it (including why wasn't the doc more worried about the phone being found one day?? + all messages are stored offline with the cell phone companies anyway for much longer than the amount of time passed since the wife's death. So the police could have gotten the info that way). But the cast makes me want to return for more - for now added to Favorites. -

Nice re-imagining of the S.H. story. Lucy Liu is a definite plus to any show she's on. Have liked J Milller since "Hackers". See you next week.

After watching the Pilot episode... I'm diggin' it. I hope the stories get a little bit better, but the scripts are original and entertaining. This show has heaps of potential and I will faithfully watch this show for sure.

I think having a beautiful woman... Lucy Liu play the character, Watson, can add a few twists and nuances to the whole "Sherlock Holmes Mysteries" typical ways. Of course, the producers are playing with fire, if they play it wrong... they will get burnt. But if they play it right... they will be benefactors of it's warmth.
Sherlock, played by Jonny Lee Miller, seemed a tiny bit off the mark in the pilot... but I think he can grow into the role quickly and even end up being superb.
I did not particularly care for the police characters or presence in the pilot episode. The truth is, there was too much of it... and that is what I like about so many other S.H. stories. I hope in the future the writers keep the police parts to a bare minimum, there is enough cop shows out there... we don't need anymore. -
Nice reminds me of "Monk" but instead of the OCD there's the crazy arrogant yet funny Jack ass. Cant wait for the next episode

I really liked this show. Joan instead of John didn't bother me surprisingly. I plan on watching more. As long as they stay like the pilot... I will be here till the end!

Did you really like the guy playing Sherlock. He's the reason I can't watch the show. I think if they would have gotten someone else to play Sherlock then the show would be better. But I can't see myself looking at him week after week.

I wasn't really expecting to like this show and prepared myself for disappointment, I really did enjoy it alot. He crazy the way I remember him from the books... and Lucy did a fine job, I found myself immersed in the story and never thought twice about Watson being a women.

I love Sherlock from the BBC, but three episodes every Blue Moon...... COME ON! I'll take this dose of Holmes and be very happy about it.
