But when her dreams fall apart, Zoe decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Zoe arrives in this small Gulf Coast town only to find that Harley has passed away and left his half of the medical practice to her in his will. She quickly finds that Southern hospitality isn't always so hospitable - the other doctor in town, Brick Breeland, is less than pleased to be sharing the practice with this young outsider, and his daughter, Lemon, is a Southern belle whose sweet disposition turns sour when she meets Zoe. Zoe's only allies are the mayor, former football star Lavon Hayes, her bad-boy neighbor Wade Kinsella, and handsome lawyer George Tucker - who just happens to be Lemon's fiance. Zoe is out of her element and ready to pack her bags, but a surprise visit by her snobby New York mother leads to Zoe's decision to stay in Bluebell for a while, discovering small-town life and a side of herself she hadn't known was there. Wade's character it's really complex. It's one of the most interesting in the top tv shows. It has been growing since the first episode (I don't believe the original sript had Zoe choosing Wade over George on such serious level); at first Wade was only teasing or affair material, but it has been developing into someone real, with flaws and weaknesses, who doesn't believe he deserves to be with Zoe and it's taking someone's place. I'm eager to see his next step.

Love this series! I am still trolling thru Season 1, quite a few episodes in now. Any yep, I agree with the consensus....Zoe & Wade, cmon guys, soooooon, please? And I started feeling sorry for Lemon (abandoning mom, horrible), but now she is on my last nerve.....can anyone say Narcissistic Personality Disorder? Ugh, Lemon......(but she can't be a true Narc if she cares about her younger sister that much so, hmmmm, an enigma for sure, annoying one but still trying 2 figure her out).

@b_love if they get a season 3 they will try out ZG, just because it is a triangle although the ZG side is very small. To quote another tv show "there is a difference between loving the idea of someone and actually loving who they really are".

ok so I wasnt going to watch this show. at first it was because i try to hate country. that worked fine there were plenty of better shows on when this one first came out. then they cancelled secret circle and kept this and i vowed out of spite i would never watch this show. well, I was bored today and ran out of bunheads episodes (hilarious show btw, better even than suburgatory) so I watched the pilot (our secret) and I liked it! now in my watchlist and I have two seasons to keep busy with until game of thrones comes back on.

Loving this show, at the start I thought it would be rather predictable but I love that it's completely the opposite. For once I think the protagonist (Zoe) might end up with the bad boy that's in love with her instead of the golden boy she's been mooning over. I also noticed most of the cast has made appearances on the O.C not just Rachel Bilson. I'm guessing it's because the director was the creator of the O.C as well which I found out through IMDB. It's like little parts of the O.C is coming back, so happy! Although Wayde is quite the opposite of Seth Cohen! Haha Zade all the way!

Is anyone here from the South? It just seems so unrealistic that Lamar is Mayor of a conservative, mostly white town in Alabama and DAR girls are throwing themselves at him with their daddy's approval. But, then again,t maybe shows like this will serve to demolish racism. Maybe if people see it enough on TV, it will become real.

To prettylittlerosewood I'm just curious to know where the 100 or so links we used to have for every episode have gone. The links that are left are poor and most of them don't work. The site has pretty much completely changed overnight, I was just wondering if anyone knew why, if there was a reason for it. I used to use this service all the time, but now I'm lucky if I can get a video to work at all! If you can't watch the videos, it's not a very useful service. Trying to find out information is not complaining. If you don't speak up then things don't get done!

As much as I love this show, it's not as suspenseful as pretty little liars. However it's a shallow show so it's good for what it refers to. I really want to see what happens in season 2. Coz omggg how they left season 2 was amazing but it's going to become so complicating and frustrating now. In my opinion, I think that season 2 is going to be shit. i mean it will be good but not as good as some of you might expect. I reckon Zoe's gonna put Wade off and all this shit's going to start becoming hectic. The story line is interesting but they should keep the story line to an extent where they can easily adjust it whilst making it so intersting. They aren't that great at doing that in this show. Well we will see what happens. Thanks is anyone bothered to read!!!!
