What I love the most is the use of sound in the show in particular the voice over conversations between Finch and John. It was more apparent in the first season, less so as the show goes on. It makes me smile. -

This is definitely one of my favorite shows. John is a good man and I share his values, calm demeanor and martial arts skills. That is the beauty of television, to connect with a member of the cast is like experiencing a special bond, not unlike friendship but without interaction and only for 1 hour a week :).

In the UK we're still only on season 1 episode 10, they finished showing them at the end of October and we have to wait until January for the rest of the season.

I agree with Piquerish's comments regarding Michael Emerson. There is just something compelling about this little odd looking man that you cannot take your eyes off of him. Amazing actor to have this unusual quality.

How does a mousey, unobtrusive, nerdy fellow like Michael Emerson command such attention? As Benjamin Linus in LOST, he was my favorite character, and now here I am again, glued to the story to see how things play out between him and Jim Caviezel. Well, judging from his warehouse full of acting awards, I guess the answer is he is just plain darned good at his trade. I'm extremely glad to see this one renewed. Fascinating program.

...this show is something, wait till the award season comes and confirm it,...emerson, chapman and henson are up for grabs...surveillance, espionage, terrorism, violent crimes.....lone hero with a broken heart, a husky and unflinchingly cold tone of voice, eyes like clint eastwood. Every character is scarred; just staying alive and kicking ass in an ugly and dirty world around them;...seemingly good people but with no hopes at all and no future whatsoever. Minimal emotional baggage, no small talk and no one going on and on and on about lifestyle and america and who is supposed to do what not and crap!!!...and finally, the action; its too fucking good...caviezel keeps on coming like a man under spell and it doesnt matter if he has a gun or a knife or nothing, pretty soon he is the one standing....sometimes he gets his ass shoved as the assailant runs, the next meeting proves verey detrimental to his health...caviezel's sheer screen presence, silence and those brooding eyes forms such a combination of wrath and callousness, it intimidating, and this is without any kind of weapons with him...anyone suggest another guy like this on tv, can u??? he id very different from jack bauer and better too...great show.....

Last time they inserted a fine female figure in a show I liked, the show was dead in a season. I stopped watching it after two episodes into the "fine female" season. I don't even remember the name now. Don't mess with what works. If the show flies as it is, then don't go inserting extras. If you want t women, there are plenty of other shows out there with strong female leads or characters. If you just want looks, there are fashion magazines all over the place and plenty of sites for that on the net. Final comment: Don't mess with what works.

Burn Notice has fantabulous blue water and sky Miami backdrop and the greatest duo fast talker and shooter girls and easy going adaptable guy (better looking than lead), even Mom Sharon funny and sharp. Nikita always hard, always right, with model looking and high tech support but dark sadistic immortal Percy villain (time for a break?), lots of underground cement basement and ubiquitous scifi maintenance tunnel crawling.

Person of Interest has too much little photos at the start of each scene, back story sometimes intriguing, sometimes annoying, definitely got me hooked. Unusual limping, not strictly tech support, Harold gets in the action occasionally. Crisp, hard, suited, tough hero - I'd like to see more of the leather jacket look, maybe disguises? he is sooo clean-cut HANDSOMEFULL, more of the gorgeous not-dead ex partner, more of the integral character fun banter. The fun, the warmth (they are suckers for babies ... puppies and kittens too?) the joking contrast on top of chop-kick-bang-boom is what I like best here and in Burn Notice. Go for more seasons, more action. I just saw Abduction film, hero at 11 karate champion dances around enemies. I like how POI has clean shots mostly, okay for younger audience (than Nikita).
I don't know New York, maybe take advantage of city architecture, unique scenery/history? I like the variety of cases, problems, mystery whether victim, perpetrator. Our team stays "white" (as in heroic) in a grey world. 6*/5. 11*/10, with great potential. -
@ Duqow . I'm sorry but I couldn't disagree more. Why should every show need a hot woman? A show should be that good it wouldn't need a hot woman (for us man to watch). And this show is. Great writing, great acting and also, lets not forget, never seen a show where the music fits perfectly every time. Those guys are geniuses.

And by the way, although Carter isn't a "hot" woman, she is beautiful. I think there is a difference. And I think we may see more of the Fixer, she is kind of hot. But she is not needed in every episode.
I like this show very much, for a part because it chooses to be different then other (good) shows, by not adding the hot woman.
And as far as Burn Notice and Nikita go, they are good too. But none of them where this good in the first season. -
This show just keeps getting better and better but I think that there needs to be more Carter and Fusco. Reese is detached and somewhat cold, as well as Finch but Carter and Fusco add that extra something the show needs, in my opinion. Plus sometimes it is really unclear whether or not Carter and Resse are flirting..it sometimes seems like there is tension there- but just sometimes.
