Love this series. They have been extending Red John story for so long. The story is interesting but you know what, they have made an complicated ending. Wanna see how they play it out. Please don't disappoint me like someone did to Lost. It's unacceptable.

Am I the only one who is getting a little tired of the whole Red John conspiracy? Like it was fresh & new when RJ was just a serial killer with many many apprentices and many disciples (like most serial killers do) but now there's this whole CIA secret service feel to it like he's some import piece on this government chess board or something and it's getting quite annoying and stale. I'm not saying they should go ahead and reveal RJ to us or anything but bring back the creepy serial killer vibe and not that conspiracy stuff.

@redcash, interesting idea although it's more likely she's one of RJ's minions.. but even that is highly unlikely..after all, her fiance was one of RJ's.. she could've reallyyy covered his tracks/warned him if it was true.. Anyhow, I kinda feel like they should've had a Christmassy episode before they went on break. :/

everybody should pay attention to van pelt she is up to be red john,is always at hte pc and keep contact with everybody,she joined to the cbi after patrick and acts as if she is hiding something and in a cold way,there was an episode when patrick gave two necklaces one was red and the other blue so the red one was given to van pelt nice coincidence.

Guys, for those of you who think La Rouche is Red John it can't be. I mean, think about it. La Rouche is fat, and in the season 2 finale when Red John came in, even under the suit you could tell he wasn't THAT big.

For all those who think Patrick Jane is Red John, he is not. Red John killed his wife & daughter, correct? Google the first season's cover image. It says: "He reads between the lies." Then it says, THE MENTALIST, "Having an Affair," "Robbed a bank," then of course, "Killed his wife." This is PROOF that Jane is not a schizophrenic and that he is NOT Red John.

I love this show so much but i'm starting to get tired and annoyed with the Red John hunt. We're on the fifth season of this now and i feel like they might just be running out of bigger storylines to do, that haven't already been done. I really want them to have an explosive reveal of who Red John is!

@DeathBlade15 I agree with you on the idea that Red John has already been on The Mentalist, but I doubt he's a main character..I'm sure he has many minions, one of which must be part of the main crew... but I doubt he himself is a main character as Jane would easily recognize him and his voice.. We all know how amazing Jane is at what he does, he'd see RJ from a mile away not to mention his voice, which could be "manufactured" but I highly doubt that(:
