I agree that The Wire is one of the best TV shows ever created, But the IMDB rating is irrelevant as many great TV shows/movies dont have the rating they deserve.

The first season starts of OK, it's hard to adjust as its very slow since it's the most realistic show ever made. Really puts you in hood Baltimore with perspective of drug dealers and Police. One of the best ever made. Just ask IMDb, has a rating of 9.6/10.
